ACC Celebrates Spring Renewal with Vivaldi's Gloria
This May, the Arnprior Community Choir presents an unforgettable program anchored by Vivaldi's beloved Gloria, backed by a professional chamber ensemble featuring strings, oboe, and trumpet. Soloists Jessica Belanger and Emily Spencer join the choir for a jubilant performance that includes stirring contemporary works exploring hope, resilience, and community. The Cantate Domino highlights Almonte Mayor Christa Lowry on the trumpet solo.

Meet Our Soloists
Soprano Jessica Belanger hails from Renfrew, studying voice performance with tenor Stefano Algieri at McGill University. An elementary music teacher for the RCCDSB and mom to two-year-old Frances, Jessica performs in musical theatre productions with Streetlight Theatre, the Mississippi Mudds and Really Cool Initiatives. She has served as Director of the Renfrew Children's/Youth Chorus since 2009. Performing as soloist with the Pembroke and Deep River Symphonies and CAMMAC Ottawa Valley, she is also cantor at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Renfrew.

Emily Spencer (née Helferty) grew up singing in the Ottawa Valley, sparking a lifelong love of music. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Queen's University, where she received the Queen's Medal in Music, and a Master's in Vocal Performance from the Yale School of Music, where she sang with the Yale Voxtet.
A finalist and Encouragement Prize winner in the 2023 Kentucky Bach Competition and winner of the 2026 NATS Ottawa competition, Emily now lives with her husband and two boys in the Ottawa Valley, where she is a regular cantor and performer.

ACC: Choral Singing for Everyone
Interested in joining the Arnprior Community Choir? Our non-audition choir is open to singers of all ages and skill levels. The fee to join is $70/session. (Payment by cash or cheque only.) Registration and rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at the Arnprior Legion. Due to space limits at our performance venues, the choir is capped at 80 members for each session. About the Arnprior Community Choir
The Arnprior Community Choir (ACC) was first established in 1991 as a night school Continuing Education course at the Arnprior District High School. This program allowed the choir to create a home in which to develop and flourish as a choral group. Founded by the current Music Director, Lisa Webber, the choir quickly grew to become a mainstay in the cultural arts community in Arnprior. Today the size of the Arnprior Community Choir varies from 65 to 80 members, both men and women, with ages ranging from 25 to 85! Enjoy moments from past seasons in our photo gallery.
