"Celebrate the Classics: A Musical Journey"
We're now rehearsing for our "Celebrate the Classics: A Musical Journey" concert on May 4th. This year, we will be presenting Missa Brevis in F by Joseph Haydn and Nun Danket Alle Gott by Johann Pachelbel, as well as other classical choral music selections.
Singing mezzo-soprano and soprano solos at our concert will be Molly Helferty (right) and Emily Helferty (below) respectively. Both sisters are former students of Lisa Webber, the Music Director for the ACC. Another Helferty sister, Catherine, who is the pianist for the ACC choir, will be playing at our classical concert as well. We are truly delighted to have these musically talented sisters as part of our classical concert.
Tickets for this concert will go on sale on April 3rd at The Arnprior Book Shop, 152 John Street North, Arnprior.

The Arnprior Community Choir has always had a goal of providing entertainment throughout the local area through presentations of a variety of music to organizations and groups; hiring young emerging soloists originally from the Ottawa Valley who are developing their musical careers; and providing choral music that both challenges and entertains its membership in an enthusiastic and uplifting rehearsal. Please join us for our 28th season in making a joyous sound!

About the Arnprior Community Choir
A little history . . . The Arnprior Community Choir (ACC) was first established in 1991 as a course within the night school Continuing Education program at the Arnprior District High School. This support allowed the community choir to create a “home” in which to develop and flourish as a musical ensemble. Founded by the current musical director, Lisa Webber, the choir quickly doubled, then tripled in membership, and has become a mainstay in the cultural arts community scene.
For the full story of this amazing choir, see
"The little choir that grew . . . the story of the Arnprior Community Choir"

Today's ACC . . . The size of the choir now varies from 65 to 85 members, both men and women, with ages ranging from 14 to 83! With the 2018-19 fall session, the choir will rehearse for three concerts: two in December 2018, one in March 2019, and one in May 2019 (Classical).
Choir members meet Tuesday nights at the Arnprior Legion at 49 Daniel Street in Arnprior from 7:30 to 9:30 to rehearse.
The 2018-19 session will be the 28th year for the ACC.
Registration: Registration for the fall session of 2018-19 will take place on September 4th at 7:30 pm and September 11th at 7:30 pm. Registration for the winter session of 2018-19 will take place on January 8th at 7:30 pm and January 15th at 7:30 pm.
Cost of membership: $110.00 for both fall and winter sessions, paid in full in September; $60.00 for just one session. You may pay with cash or a cheque made out to the
"Arnprior Community Choir".
Please note: Should you register and pay for a session (or both sessions) and decide later to withdraw, refunds are only available up to September 30th for the fall session and up to January 31st for the winter session.
New members: New members are always welcome -- whether Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass. You are not required to audition, and no previous experience is needed. Although it would be great if you can read music, it’s not essential. What we most look for from our members is a love of singing and a commitment to attend each rehearsal session and concert.
