Sing Noel Featured Soloist: Thomas Cherney

Thomas Cherney (BMus, BEd, OCT) is a singer, dancer, and actor born and raised in Arnprior. After completing his music and education degrees at Queen's University, Thomas stayed in Kingston where he is active in the Kingston choral community and working as an occasional teacher. He is also a member of the Canadian Chamber Choir, touring the country several times a year to sing Canadian compositions, to foster community from coast to coast, and to help decolonize the Canadian choral canon. Thomas is excited to return to his hometown to sing with the Arnprior Community Choir, the organization whose sponsorship started his love for choral singing.

About the Arnprior Community Choir

The Arnprior Community Choir (ACC) was first established in 1991 as a night school Continuing Education course at the Arnprior District High School.  This program allowed the choir to create a home in which to develop and flourish as a choral group.  Founded by the current Music Director, Lisa Webber, the choir quickly grew to become a mainstay in the cultural arts community in Arnprior.  Today the size of the Arnprior Community Choir varies from 65 to 80 members, both men and women, with ages ranging from 25 to 85! Enjoy moments from past seasons in our photo gallery.
